This piece of art was done as part of a still life challenge. I was actually working nightshift at the time and it was a quiet night. I was struggling to work out what to draw, I needed a number of different objects with different textures. So I raided the cupboards of the ward and made what ended up being a little shrine to my day job – midwifery.
I found a bub blanket, an oil burner, stethoscope, cord clamp and a pinards. Which then lead to its name, “Tools Of The Trade”
Tools Of The Trade is done with graphite pencils. A4 size.
